A Message From The Conchair

Thank you all so much for attending Intercon, for playing and running games and events, and helping make the convention go!  Hosting Intercon X with all of you has been an eXciting, eXtraordinary, and altogether eXcellent eXperience.  This year we eXpanded our footprint into the hotel Grand Ballroom, allowing us to host even more games and events for everyone, and implemented a new queue system for attendees to sign up for those events.  We had three dances, even more mealtime social and forum events, a GM newsletter, and numerous other small changes that I hope made your con even better! I'm incredibly proud of all my team for volunteering their time, effort, and energy to put together another eXceptional event.

By the time the last guest had joined us, we had 619 people at the convention, almost 80 more than ever before!

Planning for Intercon Y: Year and a Day has already begun, and your feedback and contributions can help shape next year's convention into the best Intercon yet!

Thank you again for being a part of the Intercon community, and welcoming us into your imaginations.

Kevin Gordon

Conchair, Intercon X

Reporting COVID

Managing COVID risk is a part of our lives now. At this current time, we have received two reports from attendees that they tested positive for COVID. Players who played in a game with those attendees have already been notified directly with an email from conchair@x.interconlarp.org. As we go into this first post-con week, if you test positive before the end of day Thursday, please let us know by emailing covid-report@x.interconlarp.org. We’ll plan on sending out a quick email to everyone on Friday to let you know either way if we get any further reports. Both your safety and privacy are important to us and your identity will not be disclosed to other parties. Your reporting email will be seen by the con chair and the COVID Safety team ONLY.

Post-Con Survey

Once again, we have a post-con survey this year! The survey will log you in via the NEIL Hosting website, which hosts all the Intercon sites, so use your Intercon login information. It will also ask permission to share your event signups, which allows us to only have to ask you about the events you participated in at the convention.  Note that while you can Save your progress at any point, you will need to Submit your survey for the con staff and event organizers to be able to view your results. Once you have submitted, you can re-open the survey if you think of more you want to share. If you encounter any issues with the survey, please email survey@interconlarp.org with details and we'll get you sorted.

Thank you for your feedback! It helps us make the con even better!

If you enjoyed this contest, we hope to see you at it again next year! We couldn’t do it without the writers, the readers, and the players, and we want to thank all of you. Time to rest and prep for a year and a day…

Thank you,

Upcoming Conventions

After LARPing, we frequently want more LARP! Here are some upcoming conventions in the Northeast USA this year for your perusal.

Intercon Y

We hope to see you again at Intercon Y: Year and a Day, which will run from February 25-28, 2027. The website is up and already accepting proposals! If you wish to join staff, reach out to our conchair, Alison Joy.

Intercon / NEIL Community Meeting

After every Intercon, we have an Intercon Community Meeting, which serves as a wrap-up for the con that has just happened and a kickoff for the next Intercon! At that meeting we also elect new NEIL Board members for a two year term. This year, the Community meeting will be on March 15th at 2pm. (Calendar Event) Come make your thoughts heard, and get involved in the upcoming convention and the NEIL community at large. If you have a proposal for the NEIL Board, wish to self-nominate for a NEIL Board position, or have any other questions, please contact the current NEIL President, Dave Kapell.

Farewell

As we close the doors and the books on Intercon X, please take care of yourself and those around you -- get the rest you need, and be as gracious to others, friends and strangers alike, as you would wish for grace to be extended to you also.

And, finally, thank you to all the staff, plus everyone who may not appear on that page but who signed up for an Ops shift or volunteered in a different way, who gave of their time and energy, doing the necessary work to make the magic happen. Our con is the work of many hands.
